People I love/almost a month away from Africa!

I officially have my Visa stuff ready to mail! hooray!

I just wanted to write to give a big shout out to people that support me and love me - this includes my wonderful family and fantastic friends. I was really down yesterday about a lack of care and support I received from someone and it really shocked me to find out that they would say mean things about me. So, in honor of all the people that love me and will always be there for me I wanted to post this and say thank you. Also, thank you to everyone who is helping me get to Africa. I'm getting more and more nervous, so all the support I get really does go a long way. :)

Anywho...I hope people start reading this when I leave so I can share my experiences through the blog!

March/Rainy Days

So! I am only a month and two weeks away from leaving for Tanzania!

Along with my Senior Thesis work, Tanzania is getting more exciting and stressful simultaneously.

I am now thinking of things to take, and I figured out I'm not very good at it. haha.

All I can think of is a camelbak, running shoes, skirts and my contact stuff. Good thing they give you ideas in the handbook!

Anyway,

I really like learning Swahili, though I only know very kidogo (little).

I also am quite enjoying the rain, and I hope it continues and the snow has ended!

A continual thanks to all of the people who are supporting me and helping me get to Africa! :) I am so glad I got my fundraising due date pushed back to early April!
